Shipping & Fulfillment Policy

📦 The Invoice-Centric Model & Rate Transparency
To ensure you pay the lowest possible carrier shipping rates, we do not rely solely on automated checkout algorithms. We manually assess complex, fragile, or oversized orders to guarantee your high-end collectibles are packed securely without overcharging you for "estimated" shipping. Our lines of communication are always open—if you need custom shipping help, reach out to our team in our community Discord server or via our dedicated support email.

1. Deposit Structures (Pre-Orders & Incoming Stock)

We believe securing your allocation slots should be accessible and straightforward. Our deposit structure varies based on your destination:

  • Domestic US Customers: A standard 10% deposit is required at checkout for all Pre-Order and 'Incoming' items to lock in your allocation slot. You will be automatically invoiced for the remaining 90% balance + shipping when the item arrives at our main warehouse.
  • International Customers: We offer a 0% deposit option ($0.00 due at checkout) for Pre-Order and 'Incoming' items. Your allocation slot is reserved, and a full invoice (item balance + calculated international shipping + applicable duties) will be issued once the item is weighed and ready to ship.

2. Shipping Carriers & International Availability

Please note that we do not ship to P.O. Boxes under any circumstances due to carrier restrictions on oversized collector boxes.

  • Contiguous United States: Shipped via USPS, UPS, or FedEx based on optimal transit time and packaging safety ($5.69 Base Flat Rate tier for eligible standard orders).
  • Canada: $10.00 USD Flat Rate to street addresses in Canadian provinces, shipped DDP (Delivery Duty Paid)—Canadian duties & taxes are collected at checkout via our Shopify Markets integration, so nothing is owed upon arrival. (Excludes PO Boxes and Territories: Yukon, NWT, Nunavut).
  • Global & Express International (DHL / FedEx / UPS): International orders—including active direct routes to Switzerland and broader worldwide destinations—are fulfilled using DDP or custom DAP invoicing via DHL Express, FedEx International, UPS, or USPS Priority International based on recipient destination.

3. Tariff Transparency Guarantee

🛡️ Fair Pricing & No Hidden Surcharges
Otaku's Wonderland is committed to total price transparency. Following federal rulings invalidating unlawful emergency IEEPA tariffs, we guarantee that no illegal or unannounced government tariff surcharges will ever be passed on to our consumers. The item price and shipping quote you see are clear, honest, and free of hidden government recovery fees.

4. Split Boxes & Multi-Item Safety Limits

To prevent crushing and box damage during transit, we never "force" items into boxes that are too small. Our standard safety box limit is 12x12x12 inches.

  • If your multi-item order requires additional boxes for structural safety, a secondary invoice for a $5.00 fee per additional box will be issued.
  • Your shipment will remain on "Hold" status until the secondary box invoice is resolved.

5. Oversized Statues (1/4 Scales & Resins)

Due to volumetric weight and delicate packaging, massive 1/4 scale figures and large resin statues are excluded from standard flat-rate tiers.

  • At checkout, shipping for oversized collectibles will display as $0.00 (TBD).
  • Once the crate/box is packed and weighed at our NY facility, you will receive an exact carrier invoice (UPS/USPS) for actual shipping costs.
⚠️ UNPAID INVOICE & CANCELLATION POLICY

In-Stock Orders / Split Box Invoices: If a secondary shipping invoice is issued for an in-stock item or split box, payment must be completed within 7 days. Failure to complete payment or contact support within this window results in a forceful order cancellation and a 10% Processing & Restocking Fee deducted from your refund to cover labor and non-refundable transaction gateway fees.

Pre-Orders & Incoming Items: For Pre-Order or Incoming allocations, an unpaid final balance invoice results in immediate retention of paid deposit amounts and account suspension. Accounts with pending final invoices exceeding 30 days will be permanently terminated, and allocation slots forfeited.

6. Risk of Loss & Carrier Insurance Claims

In accordance with our Terms of Service, title and Risk of Loss pass to the customer upon delivery to the carrier (USPS, UPS, FedEx, or DHL). All shipments are insured via Shipsurance, Pirate Ship, or direct carrier insurance. Customers must inspect packages upon arrival, report any shipping damage within 48 hours of delivery, and provide clear photographs of the external shipping box and internal packaging to facilitate an insurance claim.

7. Fulfillment Timelines & WonderVault

In-stock items typically process and ship within 3–5 business days. Pre-Order and 'Incoming' arrival dates are estimates provided by manufacturers/distributors and are subject to supply line shifts. Orders ship only after all outstanding invoices are paid in full. If you choose the WonderVault or Pay Later // Flexible Installment options, items are safely held until custom invoice schedules or combined shipping requests are triggered.
