🟢 2026 TRADE UPDATE: SECTION 122 & THE JULY CLIFF

The Supreme Court has invalidated the massive IEEPA emergency tariffs. However, all imports are currently subject to a 10% 'Section 122 Bridge' tariff. We expect new, permanent 'Section 301' tariffs to be announced around July 24, 2026. Furthermore, the $800 De Minimis duty-free exemption is officially dead.

1. The Shield Policy: Your Import Cost is $0.00

Almost all high-end anime figures are manufactured in China, meaning they currently carry a 10% to 17.5% federal tariff at the border. We take that hit upfront so you don't have to. Systems Wonderland acts as the Importer of Record and absorbs these import duties so your listing price stays locked.

2. The Refund Buffer (Why we keep the drawbacks)

We act as the shield, so we retain the armor. Because we assume the massive upfront financial risk of paying federal tariffs to protect your checkout prices, any retroactive federal tariff refunds or duty drawbacks processed through the CAPE System are retained exclusively by the store. This is how we offset the initial capital hit we take on your behalf to maintain stable rates for the community.

🛑 WHY WE BEAT DIRECT IMPORTS

Because the De Minimis exemption is dead, importing directly from overseas retailers (like AmiAmi) means private couriers (DHL, FedEx) will hold your package hostage at the border. They charge you the federal tariff PLUS a $15 to $30 'Brokerage Fee' just for processing the paperwork. We import via wholesale pallets, completely bypassing these predatory individual courier fees.

3. Payment Models: Price Lock vs. Deposits

  • The WonderVault Price Lock (100% Upfront): If you pay for your item in full today, your price is permanently locked. You are completely immune to any future tariff hikes, even if the government raises rates before your item arrives. We absorb the risk.
  • The 50% Deposit (Variable Risk): If you choose to pay only a 50% deposit today, your remaining balance will be adjusted ONLY if massive, unprecedented federal tariff shifts occur between your deposit date and the container's arrival at port.
  • In-Stock Items: Any item currently sitting in our NY warehouse has already cleared customs. The price you see is the final price. No hidden fees.
